In mid-April, our 3B Fellowship community had the privilege of celebrating one of our own, Larry Marsh, as he participated in an unforgettable Honor Flight—a journey dedicated to recognizing and thanking veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Larry’s story with 3B Fellowship began in July of 2023, in a way that feels fitting for our ministry—through the game we love and the connections God orchestrates. Referred by a starter at one of the golf courses where we hosted a tournament, Larry quickly became more than just a new face. He became family.

Since that summer, Larry has been a steady and valued presence in our community. Whether it’s out on the course or gathered in our weekly IRON groups, he shows up with consistency, humility, and a quiet strength that reflects his deep faith. He embodies what 3B Fellowship is all about—brotherhood, belief, and becoming more like Christ together.

But Larry’s story extends far beyond the fairways.

He served our country with distinction as a Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, dedicating 25 years of service from 1971 to 1996 as a Medical Laboratory Officer. His career included 7.5 years of active duty and 17.5 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. Throughout his service, Larry held critical leadership roles, including Hospital Laboratory Manager, Blood Bank Procurement Facility Manager, Education Coordinator for the School of Medical Technology, and Commander of the 366th Medical Laboratory unit.

His work supported not only the health and readiness of fellow soldiers, but also the broader mission of care, precision, and excellence within military medicine. It’s a legacy marked by discipline, leadership, and a commitment to serving others—values that continue to define him today.

The Honor Flight experience gave Larry the opportunity to visit memorials in Washington, D.C., built to honor the sacrifices of veterans like him. For many who participate, it is a deeply emotional and meaningful journey—a moment of reflection, recognition, and gratitude. For us at 3B Fellowship, it was also a moment to reflect on the blessing of having Larry as part of our brotherhood.

Larry’s life is a powerful reminder that faith and service go hand in hand. Whether in uniform or in fellowship, he leads by example—steadfast, servant-hearted, and grounded in Christ.

We honor you, Larry. Thank you for your service to our country, your commitment to your brothers, and your faithful walk with the Lord.
