Matthew 28:19-20-"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

The two verses above are what is called the "Great Commission." It is the last message from Jesus recorded in the Gospel of Matthew. This message is at the very heart of what Jesus wanted His disciples to know. It was the mission for His followers, including us.

If you have ever wondered what God's will is for your life, it is found in these verses. Jesus wanted all of His followers to go into the world and share His message of the gospel to the world. This command is at the center of what it means to be a Christian. Going and sharing salvation and hope to those who are lost and hopeless.

If you are like me, the Great Commission is a daunting task. How are we supposed to go into the entire world and share the good news of Jesus life, death and resurrection? The thing about going into the world with the gospel is that we don't have to do it alone. Jesus promised us that He would be with us every step of the way. Through the Holy Spirit we have a companion who is with us and will give us the power to share with all those in need.

Today is there someone you know who needs to hear the good news of Jesus salvation and hope for eternal life? It could be a family member, friend, co-worker or someone the Lord leads you to cross their path. The message is simply telling the story of how Jesus has changed your life. It can be the story of your own encounter with Jesus and what it has meant to you. It could be as simple as saying, "Jesus loves you" or "Have a blessed day."

The great news is that we are not going into the world alone. We don't have to have all the theological answers. All we need is a willingness to share the hope that we found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. So, my challenge to you today is to just "Go" and experience what the Holy Spirit can accomplish in your life.

Prayer-Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for the salvation you have given me. I ask you to give me courage, wisdom and words to share with the world I walk into on a daily basis. Show me those who need to hear your message of hope and salvation. Thanks for always being with me even to the end of the age. In your awesome name, Amen!
